This last couple of weeks have been crazy ones! I have been planning/working on an upcoming event for work and have had little time to post on IMHB and this makes me very very sad. During this crazy time Zach Braff and Entertainment Weekly released a stream of the Wish I Was Here Soundtrack. This is some SERIOUSLY awesome news, unfortunately I am a little late on sharing it with you. To be honest I hadn’t even listened to it myself until today. I can’t tell you enough how warm and cozy inside it made me feel to hear all of the reasoning behind each and every song on the soundtrack (if only he could’ve done this for Garden State). I had chills goosebumps and even shed a teeny tear or two listening to Braff talk so passionately about the music and his film. What a cool guy he is! Please take the time to listen to this start to finish, you won’t regret it! And just in case you are NOT keeping track…only THREE more days until the movie premiers! Get excited people!

(New Music) Heavenly Father – Bon Iver

Bon Iver wrote a song for the new Zach Braff film “Wish I Was Here” and it has been released! I am so excited about this film you guys. The soundtrack is a major reason why because we all know (cough *Garden State* cough) that Mr. Braff always comes through when it comes to sweet sweet music!

Exhibit A…

‘Wish I Was Here’ Update: New Trailer Released!

In case you haven’t seen it yet,  yesterday Zach Braff released the full trailer for Wish I Was Here….not a teaser, a FULL trailer. And it is SO good it gave me chills. The trailer features a new Shins song which let’s be honest, is reason enough to watch it repeatedly! Check it out below!

Zach Braff’s “Wish I Was Here” First Trailer is Here!!

Hey guys! It’s been almost 3 months since Zach Braff’s new Kickstarter project “Wish I Was Here” premiered at Sundance Film Festival and FINALLY we get a trailer to go along with all the hype. There isn’t really much dialogue in the trailer but the cinematography looks very impressive and Zach couldn’t have picked a better song to lay over it. He went with “Simple Song” by The Shins which is off of their most recent 2012 album “Ports of Morrow”. He seems to really love The Shins, if you remember he used two of their songs (“New Slang” and “Caring is Creepy”) in his first film Garden State which really helped the band get recognized. Wish I Was Here will be release July 18th. I can’t wait until we get another trailer and some clips perhaps? Check out the very first trailer for what is sure to be one hell of a film….

Zach Braff’s New Movie to Feature KICK ASS Soundtrack (not surprised at all)

When you take a look at movies like Garden State and The Last Kiss you can see that Sir Zachary Braff CLEARLY knows a thing or two about music. In the past he has featured music by The Shins (Garden State introduced so many people to them), Rufus Wainwright, Cary Brothers, Zero 7, Frou Frou, Turin Brakes, Coldplay, and so many more amazing artists!

Now that Zach has just finished writing, directing, and acting in his new film “Wish I Was Here” it sounds like he is putting together one awesome soundtrack. According to Entertainment Weekly, the new Garden State-esqu film’s soundtrack will feature new music from

In the Waiting Line – Zero 7

If you have never seen the movie Garden State…FORESHAME! Lol seriously..I will let you borrow my copy! It is one of my top 5 favorite movies!Anyways (I’ll come back to that later) this song is from the absolutely UHmazing soundtrack! It is the backdrop for the famous “basement/drug scene” and in my opinion the music supervisor couldn’t have done a better job picking the right piece of music for this particular scene (I put the scene below for you viewing pleasure =p). Please enjoy and PUH-LEASE go watch Garden State IMMEDIATELY..even if you have seen it before, go watch it again! =p Happy Listening!
