Sigrid Debuts With ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ EP Out Today!

Happy Friday Everyone! How about some fresh new music to start off your weekend?! From the first few seconds of 20 year old Norwegian singer Sigrid’s breakout single “Don’t Kill My Vibe” I was immediately on board for whatever she would put out next, no questions asked. Today Sigrid dropped her first EP “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and I have yet to be disappointed. The EP is four tracks long and each one is SO GOOD. The slight raspiness of her voice mixed in with the crystal clear pop(py) beats is exactly what you’ve been looking for.  I mean it, turn on ‘Plot Twist’ and try not to dance, I dare you!

Anywho, give her a listen and have a great weekend everyone!

Foster The People Share Three New Songs From Upcoming Album

“One of my favorite things about music is that it’s unifying. We wrote these songs to reflect joy in a time where people have needed it more than ever and we thought it was a good time to share them with you” said Mark foster, frontman for the band Foster The People. I couldn’t agree more Mark! Yesterday the band shared not one but THREE new songs called “Doing It For The Money”, “S.H.C.”, and “Pay The Man” from their anticipated third record due out this summer. This album is following 2014’s Supermodel, which was incredible. Also on the books is a North American Tour which begins May 26th in San Diego. Click here to see a complete list of their tour dates. Listen to the new songs below and try to catch them on tour! Happy listening music fam! ✌🏻💜🎵

Louis The Child’s “Love Is Alive” EP Is Out NOW!

Chicago-based electronic duo Louis The Child recently dropped their latest EP “Love Is Alive”. The EP is five tracks long and three of the five had either been teased or released earlier on. One song that had not been released until now “World On Fire” is by far my favorite track from the EP with “Fire” coming in a very close second. Listen to all five tracks below and let me know what you think! Happy Listening music fam 🙂

Phantogram and Big Boi Join Forces to Create New Group Big Grams

Big-Boi-Phantogram-Big-GramsIt feels like it’s been AGES since‎ Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter (aka Phantogram) started teasing that they were working on something with Outkast rapper Big Boi on Instagram in the way of very promising photos with not much to the captions other than “in the works” and “coming soon” (not soon enough Sarah and Josh, not soon enough). Pure torture is what those pictures were. Not only do I love every piece of music Phantogram has delivered to my eardrums, but then there’s Outkast. Oh Outkast, a very important piece of the puzzle that is the soundtrack to my youth..you feel me? (Of course you do).

Holy High Rotation! – Oct/Nov 2013

highrotationnov13

I haven’t done this since last year, mostly because instead of full albums I’ve been listening to a mixture of music from various Spotify playlists. BUT last month and this month too so far I have been listening to these 5 artists more than other so I thought it fitting that I bring back IMHB’s Holy High Rotation!

Artist to Checkout: Imagine Dragons

So I have recently stumbled across this goldmine of a band! I actually found them when I was researching The Color Run and in one of their promo videos they featured Imagine Dragons‘ song “On Top of the World” and I loved it so much I had to listen to more of their music!! Oh my gosh am I glad I did!!! Imagine Dragons is a Vegas based band of 5, Dan Reynolds, D Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, and Daniel Platzman. They have four EPs out right now titled “Imagine Dragons”, “Hell and Silence”, “It’s Time”, and my favorite “Continued Silence“.  I really like ALL of them! Although I have to admit I found that most of the tracks I fell in love with were from the “Continued Silence EP”. The best part about this band you might ask? The fact that I haven’t heard anything like it, specifically the  way that each song sounds different from the last, I think that’s a special quality to find in a band (their albums make for good car dance parties!…just sayin). I am mainly writing this review with “Continued Silence” fresh in my mind…actually playing in my ear-bud at this very second! On the band’s website “Continued Silence” is referred to as a “six song in-your-face sonic grenade that breaks musical boundaries and yet is strangely relate-able by its improbably diverse audience” and I couldn’t agree more! My two favorite tracks by this Vegas band are hard to choose, but if I had to I would pick “Radioactive” and “Demons“. I have to say this EP has some serious TV and Movie potential..come one Music Supervisors, scoop them up quick!! I just really think this band is a great find and I hope you guys like them as much as I do..I really can’t get over how great they are!! If you do, make sure to support and go buy their EP, like em on Facebook, and PLEASE listen listen listen (below)!  would love to know what you all think! Happy listening fellow music lovers!!

No Interruption – Hoodie Allen

Hoodie Allen is back again! And if you’re like  “back again?” then you need to stop what you’re doing and read this!

Ok where were we? Oh yes..new Hoodie Allen! So since the end of the summer Mr. Allen has been cooking up his first retail EP called “All American”! This EP will drop April 10th! The first single from “All American” is “No Interruption”. The music video for the song (below) was posted to Hoodie’s YouTube account today.

I really think this song has a great sound AND a great video. I am definitely excited to hear the rest of the EP when it comes out! I hope you like it too! If you do like it, be sure to grab it from Itunes here. Hoodie Allen has made a few previous mixtapes (which are awesome) and put them online for FREE, this is the first record he has ever put on Itunes, so let’s help him out =)! And if you really like Hoodie Allen and his new EP check out his All American Tour dates here…too bad he isn’t coming to FL :/.

As always happy listening =D!
