New music today!! Gorillaz released a new track from their upcoming studio album that is due out sometime this year. They haven’t released an album since 2011’s The Fall. It seems they shared it specifically before Inauguration Day as an underlying message to us as we get ready to enter into Trump’s horribly dark and oppressed America. In an interview the bands virtual guitarist Murdoc said “In these dark times, we all need someone to look up to. Me. That’s why I’m giving you this new Gorillaz song..”. It was also pointed out that the video for the track takes place in a warped version of Trump Hotel. Interesting right? I’m not sure how I feel about the song itself but I love the message and I’m excited to hear the rest of the album when it drops. You can read the lyrics below
