Foster The People Share Three New Songs From Upcoming Album

“One of my favorite things about music is that it’s unifying. We wrote these songs to reflect joy in a time where people have needed it more than ever and we thought it was a good time to share them with you” said Mark foster, frontman for the band Foster The People. I couldn’t agree more Mark! Yesterday the band shared not one but THREE new songs called “Doing It For The Money”, “S.H.C.”, and “Pay The Man” from their anticipated third record due out this summer. This album is following 2014’s Supermodel, which was incredible. Also on the books is a North American Tour which begins May 26th in San Diego. Click here to see a complete list of their tour dates. Listen to the new songs below and try to catch them on tour! Happy listening music fam! ✌🏻💜🎵

Phoenix Announce World Tour and Everyone Everywhere is Jumping Up and Down

You know, Mondays aren’t as bad as they say. ESPECIALLY this one, and I will tell you why. This morning, my personal favorite group of lovely French men (Phoenix) announced a whole bunch of tour dates via this photo posted to their social media accounts. Whitney, The Lemon Twigs, and Miike Snow will be joining them on tour.

Not only did they announce the tour but it just so happens to be starting in FLORIDA..where Indie Music Heartbeat resides! Specifically the House of Blues where I saw them perform a few years ago. I have said this before and I will say it again, their live performances are like no other. They always play way more songs than you think they will and.. Continue reading

We Won’t Go Home – The Colourist (Plus New Album on it’s Way!)

I don’t know about you guys but this band has been warming up to me a lot lately! Just yesterday I used my favorite musical tool, SHAZAM when I heard this song on my Sirius radio station. It seems that every time I hear a song by The Colourists, I cannot get enough and have to put it on repeat for quite a while. Luckily for me and all of you other peeps who really like their sound, The Colourist is just 6 days away from Continue reading

SYNTHETICA Album Pre-Order / US Fall Tour Pre-Sale Tickets available now!

In case you didn’t know, May 1st Metric‘s upcoming album Synthetica became available for pre-order! You can pre-order the album in several different ways, Digital, Vinyl, CD, or the coolest way: The Synthetica Stereo Box! We all know what Digital Downloads, Vinyl, and CD’s are so I am going to skip right over that to tell you about this Stereo Box (because it is juts TOO cool!). The Synthetica Stereo Box originated from a Buenos Aires artist Andres Guerberoff. Emily proposed that Andres and the band come together to create a sort of diorama box that also holds music…THUS THE SYNTHETICA STEREO BOX WAS BORN!

Inside the box there will be the Synthetica CD, a 20 pg booklet w/ mirrored mylar insert, 11x3D photographic slides (one for each song), instruction manual. The 20 booklet contains the photos from a group of architects in the 1960’s who came up with dystopian views on how the future would look, these are the photos that also inspired the whole Synthetica Album!

Only 500 have been made and EACH AND EVERY ONE will be numbered and signed by THE BAND THEMSELVES (is it getting a little bit awesome in here or is it just Metric?! lol). The second I found out about this awesome stereo box I bought one immediately, I have to asmit I am MOST excited about the autographs but how freakin’ cool is this box?

Here is a video of Emily Haines describing the Synthetica Stereo Box, and what to expect when you get yours!!
