Ohhh my goodness people! It is getting to be that time of year again, the time when our music festival hero Perry Farrell begins to share with us what amazing bands will grace our presence in what I like to call the Disneyland for music lovers..LOLLAPALOOZA! Yesterday a handful of headliners were announced and a couple of them were bands I had been seriously hoping would be there!

The most exciting headliner (in my humble opinion) is The Postal Service! If you couldn’t tell by my many posts about Death Cab including my Death Cab Week where I posted a Death Cab song every day of the week following my review of their concert I went to at The House of Blues Orlando, I am in LOVE with Death Cab, they are possibly one of my favorite bands..ever! I know The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie are not the same band BUT both have Ben Gibbard’s magical voice and THAT is good enough for me! The Postal Service hasn’t played a show in TEN years but have recently re-united for a tour that will coincide with their 10th Anniversary release of their 2003 album “Give Up”. The next band I am most excited to see at Lolla this summer is…PHOENIX!!! Phoenix who will be releasing their 5th studio album titled “Bankrupt” in April, is another one of my favorite bands. They are currently touring for their new album. I was lucky enough to see them play at Lollapalooza back in 2010 and it to this day was one of the most fun shows I’ve ever been to! I could not be more excited to see them again in Chicago and also when they come to Florida in May..woooo hoooo!! Some other confirmed headliners for this years Lollapalooza include: Vampire Weekend, The National, The Killers, and Mumford & Sons. C3 will be announcing the rest of the lineup next month, the Souvenir Pass secret sale will be happening soon and then Early Bird passes will be on sale NEXT TUESDAY (March 26th) so make sure you follow Lollapalooza on Twitter and Facebook and add yourself to their e-mail list to get all the Lolla related updates!!
